dave hartley                                     1970 - present

Dave has been producing evocative pencil drawings of the Northern Industrial Landscape for more than 10 years. Influenced by Trevor Grimshaw, Adolphe Valette And Harry Rutherford, his work captures the rugged beauty of a lost landscape which was once so commonplace in the towns of Bolton, Manchester, Oldham , Rochdale and Stockport.

Hailing from Hyde and now based in Stockport Dave seeks out remnants of a forgotten time and very skillfully immortalises them in his distinctive and unique style of graphite art.

He has exhibited widely throughout the North West of England and his work is now features in many private collections and is much sought after.
