He was born in Caernarfon and did his national service in The Royal Artillery from 1952 to 1954. For the next 3 years he went to Bangor Normal College. Following this he taught at Maesincla Junior School and at the Syr Hugh Owen School until his retirement in 1990. His art revolves around the landscape of Gwynedd, fisherman and farm workers.
He is a member of The Royal Cambrian Society and throughout the years he has had many exhibtions, including those at The Royal National Eisteddfod, The Royal Society of British Artists, The Tegfryn Art Gallery and Tib Lane Gallery in Manchester.
His work is also in numerous public and private collections.
